MB RECRUITMENT AUST, Has a great opportunity and is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to join their precision CNC machining operation in Northern Suburbs. To be successful in this role you need to have demonstrated experience insite‑level quality assurance, inspection, and compliance activities and have great communication skills as you will be reporting to the Site Manager.
This is a hands‑on supervisory role suited to an experienced Quality professional who can provide leadership while remaining actively involved in inspection, customer quality requirements, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements
- Coordinate and manage APQP and PPAP activities for new, repeat, and changed work
- Own and approve First Article Inspections (FAI) prior to production release
- Oversee and perform in‑process and final inspection of CNC‑machined components
- Utilise CMM measurement systems to support complex dimensional inspection and verification
- Interpret measurement data to confirm product conformance and capability
- Manage non‑conforming product, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Act as the primary site contact for customer quality matters, audits, and technical discussions
- Manage calibration and control of measuring and test equipment
- Maintain accurate inspection records, documentation, and traceability
- Work closely with Operations and Production to drive defect reduction and right‑first‑time outcomes
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Quality Supervisor or Senior Quality role within precision manufacturing or engineering
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and customer‑specific quality requirements
- Demonstrated experience with APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Hands‑on CMM inspection experience in a CNC machining environment
- Working knowledge of PC‑DMIS software is highly desirable
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience managing NCRs, corrective actions, and audit activities
- Knowledge of calibration systems and measurement control
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
- Proactive, structured, and detail‑focused approach to quality leadership
